Steps in the Hiring Process
Getting hired is more than just hitting the “Apply” button. Here, we tell you what to expect in each stage of the process.
Check our website frequently. As new job opportunities become available, we encourage you to submit an application! Check out our career areas page to view available jobs by category. If you don’t see an opportunity that you’re interested in at this time, you can join our Talent Community and upload your resume for future consideration. You can also set up job alerts, which allow you to receive email notifications of future opportunities.
Create your account and apply online. A first-time application should take about 5-10 minutes to complete by clicking on “Apply Now” through the job posting. You can also apply with LinkedIn by clicking on the "Apply with LinkedIn" icon on the job posting. Note: You will have to apply to each position you are interested in separately.
Attach a current resume. We encourage you to attach a resume to your account. Please have your resume and any additional supporting documents saved in an easy-to-download file (.doc or .pdf preferred) with your name and date in the document title.
Confirm your application. Shortly after applying, you will receive a confirmation email of your application submission. The email will come from "noreply@lifethc.com." Please check your junk mail folder if you do not receive it. Our talent acquisition team will now begin conducting preliminary evaluations. You may log in to your account to check the status of your application throughout the process.

Reviewing your application. Our talent acquisition team will review your application and share qualified applicants with hiring managers. Please note that if you apply on the first day a job has been posted, it may take longer than expected to hear from our team.
Moving to the next stage. Hiring managers will review applicants and partner with our hiring staff to determine qualified candidates who will move to the next step of the process.
Pre-screening. As time passes, you may become eager for status updates. We truly appreciate your interest in our company and encourage you to access your online account to check the status of your application throughout the process. If necessary, you may be contacted by a member of the hiring staff for a preliminary phone conversation and asked some follow up questions related to the position.

Being selected for an interview. If you are selected for an interview, a member of the talent acquisition team will contact you to schedule an interview. Please keep in mind that multiple rounds of interviews may be scheduled and this could add time to the interview process.
Inquire about the timeframe. Some jobs may require additional evaluation. Be patient but be sure to ask about the timeframe for a decision to be made during your interview.
The typical interview process may contain any combination of the following: phone interview; in-person interview; one-on-one, team, or group interview(s); panel interview; and/or a hiring assessment. Following all interviews, our hiring managers will partner with the talent acquisition team to evaluate candidates.

Notification of your offer. If you are the final candidate, a member of the talent acquisition team will reach out to you directly to extend a formal offer. An official offer letter will be sent electronically upon your acceptance, along with all the documents you will need for your first day of employment. Offer letters will include information such as rate of pay, manager name, and reporting instructions for your first day.
References, background checks, and screenings. All offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screen. More information will be provided about this process at the time of an offer. As part of our company background check process, you will need to provide two professional references.
What's next? If you are hired, congratulations! You will attend orientation on your first day of work. If you are not selected, you will be notified by the talent acquisition team via email.
